Enjoy the "Live Grandpa Tour"
The guided tour of the La Fortaleza distillery includes a tour of the entire tequila production process, from the agave harvest to bottling.
Visitors will see the brick ovens where the agave is cooked, the mills where the piñas are crushed, and the fermentation vats where the juice is turned into must. Then, the copper stills in which the juice is distilled into tequila will be shown and the different stages of distillation will be explained.
The visit ends in the bottling area, where you will be shown how tequila is labeled and bottled. Visitors will also be able to try some varieties of tequila and buy bottles as souvenirs. The experience is ideal for learning about the history and tradition of Mexican tequila in a warm and welcoming environment. -
